The great honey debate! I personally do not use honey. I see bees as part of the animal kingdom and despite some claims that they are treated fairly, I will not use any animal product. There a lot of cases where bees are not treated well, and I will have no part in that. I appreciate what bees do for the eco system. If you think they’re “just an insect” look up pollination, and see what an important role bees play.

I’ve been stung on numerous occasions, so I’ll admit, they’re not my favorite. But at least I never met the fate of Macaulay Culkin in My Girl. That said, I will not go out of my way to kill one. (Well, if its a bee I might run in the opposite direction) Same goes for a spider. If I see one, I’ll try to scoop him up and let him outside.

Some people see this as silly, but I believe in respecting all forms of life. They do serve a purpose in the greater scheme of things, and that is why I use agave. #vegansofig
